9 months later!

Alright so I got a little side-tracked with the NICU counting days, I read online somewhere someone did it to make things easier for him. The NICU was pretty depressing so I can imagine that is probably why I didn't post after. So here are some pics of lil peanut now from month to month. She is absolutely amazing and is now crawling everywhere and trying to eat everything. She weighs about 13 lbs now, has had some issues with acid reflux but seems to be doing OK otherwise!

This is Elaina in the NICU.

Elaina being an adorable little 1 month old...she spent about 4 weeks in the hospital before we got to bring her home on January 6th, 2011 at 4lbs, 4 oz. Poor little baby also had to be in the hospital for a week because of the flu after coming home.

This is her about two months old. :) That's when we found out she had acid reflux.

This is her at 3 months old, Daddy & I took her to the aquarium.

Playin' with her cousin baby Tristan.

About 4 months old, learning how to push herself up on her play mat. :)

5 months old...

Hatin' on her rice cereal, 5 months old.

Cutie pie!! 5 months old.

6 months old..

7 months old. :)

8 months old!!

At her cousin's bday

Pretty much 9 months old at our wedding!! We got married last year but had the ceremony this month. :)

It's amazing how much she's grown and I can't believe how time flies.

She's ALIVE!!

The baby was born two days ago on December 10th at 11:22 AM by C-section due to some pre-eclampsia that I had. I am happy to say that she is doing great and so am I, and she should be home in a few weeks once she gains all of her weight.

Day One:

C-section and birth of baby! Elaina came out screaming with great lungs, great apgar scores, and everything else to boot. Skinny little girl weighed 2 lbs 15 ounces (almost 3 lbs!) She was put in an open air incubator with a few little wires for her body heat and nutrition.

Day Two:

Got to see the baby finally after recovering from the C-section, baby had a mild case of jaundice :( so couldn't see her face. Just wanted to spend all day with her...started pumping breast milk for her to eat.

Day Three:

Jaundice gone! Opened her eyes and she likes pacificer! She likes holding my hand and her little book about Jesus' birth. They moved her into a nicer incubator, looks like a little house, we put up a picture of mommy and daddy for her to see when we are gone. Have to go home today...sob. Hope baby gains weight quickly. She looks so cozy in her little house.

Baby Shower

Gee, golly, gosh...

I have about one month left to be PG and my stomach is about to explode. Sleeping is even more special then before, lots of rolling and adjusting, lol. Baby's pretty active, she moves a lot during the day, thankfully... Christmas is coming soon, not feeling too Christmasy though.

Too many doctor visits as of late, they are almost bi-weekly now, ha. Thankfully most of the hospitals are close to the house so we can drive there pretty easy. Had an ultrasound last week, baby looks just like Ivan, such a cute lil girl...Big lips and big head just like Daddy. Hehe.

Baby shower was last week, a couple of days before Thanksgiving I got sooo much stuff, and to think I was worried about not having enough clothes for the baby, lol. She has more stuff then I do! I can't wait to meet her now. Gonna go to a birth class next week, that should be exciting. She sure seems eager to get out, ha, kicks me hard daily. Not too much else going on otherwise :P

Here's some pics of the baby shower:

Photos!

Hi so here are those photos I promised...they are on my facebook account. There are a lot of recent photos of my belly, pregnancy, fun things I did last month...

http://www.facebook.com/#!/profile.php?id=684906141&v=photos

So apparently I only have 11 more weeks to go, exciting!! I am still conflicted as to what to name her:

Elena
Claire
Elisabeth

So far we just call her Elena, but who knows...so apparently I am actually 7 months pregnant according to the ultrasound doctor, that prob. explains why my tummy is so huge hehe. Me and my miscalculations...so confusing. Oh well. All I know is that she is comin' soon. Got another ultrasound photo but it's a little scary looking, ha! She looks like a little alien, they zoomed in so close. We're supposed to host a little baby shower next week, I want it ALL pink! I'm going a little crazy with the pink.

Baby kicks and squirms a lot, she might hiccup too I'm not so sure haha, all those weird little movements down there. Sleeping at night has become an affair, lots of rolling, breathing, moving, getting up and down is such an issue as well, HA! Can't wait till this little bugger is out, well, and healthy. Lotsa love!

Thank you Jesus!

I'd just like to take some time to thank Jesus & all of my friends that have made my pregnancy really nice so far.

First off, I'd like to thank Jesus for supplying such great food stamps & Medicaid, I haven't had to pay for a thing, and I've been eating such great things. Here are a few of the things that I've been eating recently:

Fiesta Bean Burritos!

Falafel!

Pepperpot Jamaican Soup I didn't actually get a chance to take a picture of it so I googled it hehe:

Thank You Jesus that I finally found a really nice hospital where I am going to start having check ups next month and have my baby & birthing classes there.

Thank you Jesus for Medicaid that not only helped me to pay for all of my hospital visits, but even for my gas money to go to the hospital!

Thank you Jesus & friends & family for all the nice outfits that you gave me and that I was able to buy for my pregnancy so far. I wish I had pictures of them right now but I haven't taken any photos recently.

Thank you Jesus that I got to see my family during my second trimester and for all the visitors that came over so I wasn't so lonely last summer.

Thank you Jesus for supplying me and Ivan with a really nice telephone.

Thank you Jesus for all the nice pregnancy books I got from my sweet sister Fay.

Thank you Jesus for all the baby clothes that you supplied for me, and for the crib, toys, and everything else.

Thank you Jesus for my nice king sized bed, for my fan, and for my really nice bedroom.

Thank you Jesus that I've been able to get enough rest, and for such a sweet hubby, family, and friends.

Thank you Jesus for my sweet brother David who drives me to all my doctors appointments without complaining, and who helped Ivan to get his drivers' license.

Thank you Jesus for helping me to feel extra happy the past two months even though I am pregnant. Hehe.

Thank you Jesus for my Dad who got to visit last summer and drove me to lots of places and helped Ivan learn how to drive.

Thank you Jesus for my sweet sister Jenny who talks to me when I am lonely or bored.

Thank you Jesus for my mummy who was so nice when she found out I was pregnant. :D

Thank you Jesus for Sara who always gives me lots of nice baby things and pregnancy clothes.

Thank you Jesus for supplying finances for the nice apartment we live in.

Thank you Jesus that I got to go swimming for the first 5 months of my pregnancy.

Thank you Jesus that I was able to find a nice pregnancy work out video for only 2$! Hehe. Also for my yoga ball.

Most of all, thank you Jesus so much for my sweet baby girl...thank God it's a girl! :D

Oh yes, and it was me and Ivan's first year together two days ago, we had a really nice anniversary, I posted some pics on facebook if you want to see. Hehe.

I love you all! I will try to take some photos tonight or tomorrow.

IT'S A GIRL!

Here SHE is...

Yup, it's a girl. I was wrong.

Her name is Elena Theresa Cagle, and she is the cutest thing! Sorry about the blurriness of this photo it's just that I don't have a real scanner so yeah...This a picture of her head. If you look real closely you can see her eyelids very clearly.
